Hello, My name is Christine Van Dyn Hoven and I am the K-2 teacher at Yucca Elementary. I began working in schools in 2002 helping out in various classrooms. I originally went to school for business and graduated with a bachelors in accounting with minors in finance/management. All throughout college I was volunteering in schools. After working a few years in the business world I decided to go back to college for teaching. I moved to Bullhead City right after graduating in Early Childhood Education from the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh, in 2012. I wanted to get away from the cold Midwest winters and enjoy a warmer climate and I love it here! Since moving to Bullhead City, I’ve taught Kindergarten 1st, and a multi-age class of K-2 students. When I visited the school for the first time it reminded me of the hometown. I love the smaller classes and the friendly staff, people who no doubt put their whole hearts into teaching and caring for the students at Yucca Elementary! I am so happy to be a part of this team! A little about me… I have been married for 12 years and have two children, Brysen and Braylynn. I love to travel to different places, being on the water, camping, fishing, hunting, and taking our Can-Am out to explore the desert. I am so happy to be a part of Yucca Elementary. It brings me great joy to help students learn and succeed each day.
